Their Holinesses Bless Shankar Netralaya's Surgical Bus Project

A mobile eye surgical unit jointly developed by Sankara Netralaya and IIT Madras visited Kanchipuram and received the blessings of Their Holinesses Pujyasri Jayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamiji and Pujyasri Shankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamiji. The team of doctors and technicians explained the salient features of this innovative medical facility developed to take eye surgery to rural areas, to Their Holinesses. Pujyasri Acharya Swamijis blessed the initiative and the medical team and other personnel involved in the project. During the visit, His Holiness Pujyasri Shankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamiji visited the Kowsikeshwarar Temple located nearby. The temple is an ancient one, made of stone.
